The Pioneer BDR-2203 works with BD-R discs which can hold 25 Gbytes and BD-R DL (Dual Layer) discs which can hold 50 Gbytes of data.  

A single dual layer Blu-ray disc can hold the equivalent of about 10 DVDs.  All that storage is ideal for holding High Definition content and volumes of video, music and files - and the beauty of Blu-ray is that it can all be done on a single disc.
