More connectivity, more control, more ways to enjoy your high-definition entertainment. Put this extraordinary Elite A/V receiver at the center of your home entertainment system, and take your experience to a whole new level. Connect an array of audio and video sources via six digital inputs, including two HDMI inputs compatible with the latest — and still to come — high-res 1080p sources like Blu-Ray Disc® players. With simplified one-cable connection to your HDTV, HDMI protects the digital purity of the signal for high-quality audio and video with no loss, and no mess of wires. TBC Digital Video Conversion takes signals from older video sources (connected with composite, S-Video, or component video), and can output them via HDMI so one wire is all that's needed from the receiver to the TV or Monitor.
Performance enhancement for portable audio.
With this Elite receiver at the center of your system, there’s virtually no limit to your entertainment possibilities. Bring your digital satellite, portable and PC audio to surround-sound life. Add an XM® Connect & Play antenna and subscription service*, and enjoy channels in XM HD Surround powered by Neural Audio®. Or connect your iPod® player via the included cable, and experience portable audio in powerful multi-channel surround sound. This receiver's remote control even lets you control your iPod using familiar on-screen menus. And with Pioneer's new patent-pending Sound Retriever technology, your compressed audio will sound richer than ever.
Gorgeous sound. Gorgeous looks.
Enjoy all this high-quality entertainment in 110 watts of THX Select2-certified surround sound, across as many as seven speakers. And in your choice of eight advanced concert and cinema surround modes, bolstered by Dolby® Digital EX, DTS®-ES , and DTS 96/24 for a truly cinematic sonic immersion. Performance this powerful comes from the third generation Sharc-EX® processor from Analog Devices coupled with the 48-bit Freescale® DSP processor. All packed into one exceptional Elite receiver with a gorgeous aluminum Urushi finish.
The center of your customized experience.
This Elite receiver is the command center of your customized home entertainment system. Start by customizing your listening environment with the Advanced Multi-Channel AcoustiC Calibration System (MCACC) with Phase Control Technology. Simply place the included microphone in the room's sonic sweet spot. The MCACC automatically evaluates the acoustic signature of the listening space, neutralizing the sound field and calibrating all connected speakers for a sonic performance any sound engineer would admire. This Elite receiver is ready for professional custom installation, as well. Built-in 12-volt triggers can be configured to power-up other components of your home-theater experience — such as closing remote controlled blinds just as the movie begins! The RS-232c interface and IR/Inputs make it simple for custom installers to add and program third party IR receivers, repeaters and touch pad remote controls — allowing multi-room, multi-source control.
