Pioneer Brings Competition Quality to SPL Spec Series Subwoofers

Subs designed for big bass without the big price

Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., the world's largest car speaker manufacturer continues to dominate the subwoofer speaker market with its new affordable line of Pioneer and Premier SPL SPEC series subwoofers. The Pioneer Premier TS-W2000SPL 12-inch and TS-W1500SPL 10-inch subwoofers boast unique technologies based on its recently released competition subwoofer.

The Pioneer Premier, TS-W2000SPL 12-inch and TS-W1500SPL 10-inch subwoofers, were intended to produce heart-pounding bass with very high power handling. The long excursion design produces extremely low and accurate bass response. Both 12-inch and 10-inch versions have more control in higher SPL conditions, necessary for use with powerful systems.

The Pioneer Premier subwoofers feature:

• Radial Surround Design - The radial surround design features a cloth insert urethane surround for deeper bass, longer excursion, more control and minimized distortion under extreme conditions. The weaving of cotton fiber between the two layers of urethane significantly reduces any unwanted physical distortion.
• Interlaced Carbon Fiber Reinforced IMPP Cone - Pioneer blends long carbon fibers into a very rigid injection molded polypropylene cone, which forms an incredibly resilient fiber weave, resulting in superior strength and stiffness for incredible mass air movements.
• Top Plate and Double Stacked Magnets - Long 20-millimeter top plate and extra large magnets increase the force factor which is essential to create extreme sound pressure levels. The dual stacked magnets also provide better control of the voice coil in the magnetic gap, producing a much more accurate bass response.
• Aluminum Die-cast Basket - A one-piece aluminum basket assembly holds the motor assembly, cone and magnet structure, reducing internal stress and providing superior damping and increased magnetic efficiency.
