Pioneer Pro DJ Awarded for Inventive Technologies Including the Prestigious Manufacturer of the Year Award

Professional Sound and Visual Division, is honored to announce a long list of accolades recently garnered for the company’s contribution to groundbreaking professional DJ technologies. Pioneer swept two prestigious award shows held during 2008 Winter Music Conference week that took place in March, winning all six categories in which it was nominated, including Best Manufacturer, Best Mixer, Best CD player, Best Headphones, Best New Product and Best Video Product. These awards emphasize Pioneer’s role as a technology manufacturer that is committed to furthering the industry and bringing an incomparable experience to all facets of the entertainment industry.
The week-long gathering is regarded as the premier networking event in the dance music industry where top international artists, DJs, producers, and industry professionals converge from over 62 countries. More than 70,000 visitors and locals partake in the biggest dance events of the year including workshops, performances, product launches, and release parties, and organizations also recognize exceptional products and innovative technologies that emerged over the course of the previous year.

Pioneer won the following coveted industry awards:
International Dance Music Awards – More than 10,000 ballots were cast to vote for the most innovative and elite artists, DJs, producers, promoters, remixers, manufacturers, and labels in the business.
- Best Manufacturer: Winner - Pioneer Pro DJ – Pioneer was recognized for outstanding contributions to the advancement of the industry. Often regarded as the “industry standard,” Pioneer solidified its position as a true innovator and visionary in the business.
- Best Mixer: Winner - DJM-800 – Pioneer’s reference mixer provides high quality audio and reliability. The DJM-800 incorporates features recommended by many professional DJs and club engineers, raising the bar on sound fidelity and ease of mixer operation.
- Best CD Player: Winner – CDJ-1000MK3 – This robust, high-end digital turntable offers playback of MP3 files that puts more control into the hands of DJs. The celebrated SVM-1000 was also recognized at the 2008 National Association of Music Merchants, NAMM, where it was named the “2008 People’s Choice for Top Video Mixer” by Pro Sound and Stage Lighting, one of the largest, most respected sources of professional audio and lighting equipment in the United States.
