2005 Ford Mustang Side View

H&R Springs specializes in German engineered suspension components for a variety of vehicles including this 2005 Mustang. H&R wanted to build a domestic demo car with Pioneer's best audio components in addition to all their hop-up suspension components such as coil overs, sway bars, camber bolts and spacers.

2005 Ford Mustang Head Unit

At the top of the Mustang's audio chain is Pioneer's Premier DEH-P880PRS that fits perfectly in the stock dash location. The original double DIN opening left enough space to install the Premier headunit and three additional Autometer gauges including oil pressure, vacuum and voltage.

2005 Ford Mustang Interior

The installation in this Mustang was nice and simple to keep the integrity of the interior. The stock speakers were replaced with Pioneer's Premier TS-C720PRS component package. Although the midbass speakers are unseen, the speakers pack some serious midbass response for those passengers lucky enough to ride in this car.

2005 Ford Mustang Tweeters

For that "oh so sweet" high frequency sound, the tweeters were installed on the high corners of the doors to increase imaging response. The tweeters were then flushed mounted to blend with the contours of the interior.

2005 Ford Mustang Subwoofer

Moving to the rear of the vehicle, behind the passenger seats a pair of TS-W12PRS 12-inch subwoofers add that low bass “rumble” that's usually missing in stock systems. The subwoofers were installed in custom-built enclosures behind the rear seat where they can be hidden out of sight.

2005 Ford Mustang Amps

Behind the subwoofer boxes resides the force of the system where three Premier Class F/D ICE amplifiers power all the speakers in the car. Looking into the trunk, the amps were installed upside down for ease of installation.

2005 Ford Mustang Speakers

Another set of TS-C720PRS components replaced the stock rear speakers for great sounding rear fills. Sound deadening materials were mounted to the rear deck to lessen the vibration that can cause unwanted noise.

2005 Ford Mustang Crossovers

To complete the installation, a separate display for the TS-C720PRS crossovers and XM Satellite Radio were added to the right side of the trunk.

2005 Ford Mustang Brakes

This Mustang car wouldn't be complete without nice wheels and a powerful brake system. For stopping power, H&R added 15-inch front and 14-inch rear Baer brakes and high profile 20-inch O.Z. Superleggera III wheels wrapped in Yokohama AdvanSport tires.
