2005 Honda Element

Charles Miles, an avid DJ in the Orlando, Florida area created the DJ Road Jam to indulge his passion for entertaining people with music. The DJ Road Jam is what he described as “an interactive vehicle boasting sonic and video power.” For a platform, he took a late model Honda Element to create a “nightclub on wheels” using Pioneer car audio, video and DJ gear.

At the control center of the system is Pioneer's AVH-P6800DVD 6-disc in-dash DVD changer to provide countless hours of video entertainment. Because of the Element's double DIN dash opening, the new player fit like a glove.

On each side of the rear windows resides a set of PRS amplifiers to magnify the sound from either the DJ equipment or audio/video source. Don't let the size of these digital amplifiers fool you, as they pack serious power to the speakers and subwoofers.

The party begins when the tailgate of this Element is lowered, exposing the Pioneer Pro DJ gear. The DJ coffin holds a pair of CDJ-1000MK3 CD turntables and a DJM-600 mixer connected to the system in the car. If more volume is needed, an extra pair of external speakers can also be connected to the system.

All the doors were modified to fit a total of twelve TS-A speakers for the system. The installer utilized MDF, fiberglass, bondo and matching blue vinyl for a more integrated look. The matching grills of the TS-A speakers also gave the system a more aggressive look.

2005 Honda Element Sub

To complete the system, a pair of Pioneer TS-SW1241D slim subwoofers resides in the corners of baggage area. Because of TS-SW1241D's air suspension technology, the subwoofer enclosures are significantly smaller, saving plenty of space.

Not to be outdone by any local clubs, plenty of monitors were installed to play the latest music videos. Overhead monitors ranging from 11- to 13-inches, display the videos from the AVH-P6800DVD.
