In partnership with ICEPower^®, the leaders in Class D amplification, our new SC line of Elite^® receivers represents a whole new level of multi-channel power designed specifically for the latest generation of HD-Audio formats. The result of this collaboration is the Direct Energy HD Amplifier. In developing this state-of-the-art amplifier, Pioneer used its grounding and signal pattern layout know-how to modify numerous physical characteristics and analog component choices and designations to make an amplifier far different from other ICEPower applications. Making its debut in the Pioneer Elite SC-09TX flagship receiver and now featured in the new SC-07 and SC-05, these receivers produce a whopping 140 and 130 Watts per channel respectfully with virtually no distortion. With this incredible amplifier technology, these receivers are able to maintain reference level signal to noise ratios, wide range frequency response, and unprecedented efficiency and clarity in high-definition multi-channel sound reproduction

Drawing upon over 70 years of audio innovation, the VSX line of receivers utilizes a discrete A/B amplifier design with Advanced Direct Energy Amplifiers for up to 7.1 channels of surround sound, redefining the traditional limitations of home theater and promising precise sonic reproduction.

Additionally, the Pioneer line of receivers utilizes Pioneer Hybrid Amplifier Technology II (PHAT-II) amplifiers designed for high-power performance that exceeds ordinary capabilities. This newly developed PHAT-II power module makes the feedback loop smaller and minimizes influences from noise sources. Within the amplifier are new output transistors that have a lower base-capacitor impedance to achieve a wider range for a high current drive stage. It also maintains the correct bias levels regardless of fluctuating temperatures, allowing for high power with minimal Total Harmonic Distortion, resulting in a stunning performance at nearly any volume level.
