When should Zero Calibration be carried out?

For the most accurate power measurements, Zero Calibration should be carried out before every ride. To check the system, spin the crank and press Menu / ZeroCal. If Left and Right leg Tan and Rad measurements show values outside +/-3N with no load on the pedals, ZeroCal should be carried out. If the temperature changes by more than 4 degrees Celsius since the last calibration, Zero Calibration is recommended. (If the crank or chainrings have been exposed to direct strong sunlight, or for example stored inside a car, allow some time for them to reach atmospheric temperature before performing Zero Calibration.)
