Can the pedaling monitors be connected to any other Cycle Computer in Power Meter mode while being connected to the SGX-CA500 in Pedaling Monitor Mode?
No. The Power Meter Sensors alone cannot communicate in Pedaling Monitor Mode and Power Meter Mode at the same time. Only one mode can be selected, switching to Pedaling Monitor Mode can only be done using the Pioneer SGX-CA500 or SGX-CA900 Cycle Computers Mode Switch function.
Power Meter Mode is the Sensors default Mode and is provided for communication with any ANT+ Compatible Cycle Computers including the SGX-CA900 and 500; paired as “Power”.
It is possible to keep the Power Meter Sensors in Pedaling Mode and at the same time transmit ANT+ Power data from the Pioneer SGX-CA500 computer to a compatible ANT+ computer or sport watch.
From the SGX-CA500 computer, press [Menu] [Settings] [Device] check [Transmit ANT+ Power]. You can then pair your ANT+ cycle computer to the SGX-CA500 using the last 4 digits of its SS# as the ANT+ ID.
