Pioneer Expands Training Analysis and Accessibility with New TrainingPeaks Metrics and Mobile-Friendly Cyclo-Sphere

TraingPeaks® Cycling Metrics
Pioneer’s Cycle Sports Division expands options for on-bike and after-ride analysis with three TrainingPeaks cycling metrics. Training Stress Score (TSS), Intensity Factor (IF) and Normalized Power (NP) are now available on Pioneer’s SGX-CA900 and SGX-CA500 Cycle Computers for real-time monitoring and feedback, and Cyclo-Sphere, Pioneer’s free online cloud service for post-ride event breakdown and analysis.

TSS, IF and NP are key metrics created by TrainingPeaks and used by coaches and athletes to better analyze a rider’s effort and true power output. Pioneer power meter users can access and view the TrainingPeaks power metrics during training without leaving the system. Users are able to automatically upload ride data, including TSS, IF and NP metrics, and analyze the ride event in Cyclo-Sphere, as well as send the metrics directly to TrainingPeaks analysis sites and applications.

Cyclo-Sphere On-The-Go
A new Cyclo-Sphere quick glance overview screen is now available to any user who accesses his or her account from a smartphone or other non-PC device. Great for on-the-fly analysis and training, the “Workout List” on the mobile Cyclo-Sphere version offers the new TrainingPeaks data and other key ride metrics including distance, time, elevation gain, and work. For TrainingPeaks users, the rider or coach can use his or her mobile device to view ride results instantly without having to go home, log onto a PC and navigate through TrainingPeaks for the day’s ride data. Two ride event graphs are also available: altitude and independent dual leg average power and force vector analysis. A new “Statistics” page offers users a deeper ride breakdown with a wide range of power analysis charts and graphs for ride event comparison. Adapative to any mobile screen size, the mobile Cyclo-Sphere version makes it even easier for athletes to link and share ride events in Cyclo-Sphere with their social media accounts.
