Passport Echo™: Now available on Scientific-Atlanta’s Explorer 8000 series and the Motorola DCT6208 and DCT6412 high definition DVR-enabled digital set-tops. This revolutionary and graphically rich software gives cable operators another tool to compete with alternative video service providers. Passport Echo is platform independent and engineered to take advantage of the hard-drives in next-generation digital cable set-tops. Passport™ 4.0 Navigation and Application Suite: The newest version offers key word searches in addition to a host of cutting-edge functionality. This highly reliable, industry proven software technology includes onDemand services. It offers a comprehensive array of powerful digital capabilities. Features include an easy-to-use interactive program guide with detailed program information, channel banner browsing, parental control features, and advanced integrated VOD and SVOD. Passport 4.0 also offers support for downloadable interactive applications such as Web browsing, e-mail, chat, weather, sports, interactive games, stocks, news and more. Passport's dynamic user interface is comprised of animated graphic transitions that emulate a broadcast TV experience and provide intuitive cues for user navigation.
Passport DCT™ 2.5: This latest revision to the DCT interactive program guide introduces a sleek graphical interface design with a rich, new color scheme and three-dimensional detail. Feature enhancements include:
- Title Search: delivers a keyboard interface designed with a moveable highlight for character entry to target specific program titles quickly. Capabilities include character entry, insertion and correction, as well as deletion. Programs matching or closely matching search criteria automatically scroll into view as each new search character is added.
- Quarter-Screen Video: is displayed in the IPG Time, Theme and Title views on the DCT 2500, 5100, 6200, and 6400 set-tops.
- Extended Channel Banner: provides viewers with an additional method of viewing complete program information. Extended Channel Banner allows full screen video viewing to continue while also accessing all available information for any program in the channel lineup from the data available on the set-top
- Switched Broadcast: designed to assist cable companies in managing bandwidth, the solution brings together service management, switching and media processing of live video content on the BigBand BMR (Broadband Multimedia-Service Router) and client access through the Passport DCT software platform. The combined offering enables cable operators with systems based on the popular Passport DCT system to provide live programs in dynamic response to subscriber viewing, so that only those programs being watched consume bandwidth and resources.
